CRACK DETERMINATION METHOD IN PRESS FORMING SIMULATION, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING PRESS FORMED COMPONENT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination method which can determine cracks precisely in press forming simulation, and to provide a method of manufacturing a press formed component using the same.SOLUTION: A limit surface distortion which generates a crack is previously obtained by a test depending on material of a metal sheet 5 as an object of formation. The press forming simulation of forming the metal sheet 5 into a press formed component of a desired shape is carried out, and when a maximum surface distortion in the press formed component exceeds the limit surface distortion of the material of the press formed component, it is determined that the crack is generated on the press formed component.
