PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect unauthorized use software with higher accuracy based on information about activation.;SOLUTION: A management server generates a pattern file for detection based on activation information circulating on a network and registers the generated pattern file for detection in an activation information storage area. A terminal acquires the pattern file for detection from the server and determines whether or not the content of information on activation target stored in the terminal itself is different from the initial data included in the acquired pattern file for detection. If the determination result shows the content is different from the initial data, the terminal determines that there is a possibility of unauthorized use regarding certain software which is related to the pattern file for detection and generates software unauthorized use possibility information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
