PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end plate for a rotor for a synchronous reluctance motor that prevents eddy current loss while reducing manufacturing costs.;SOLUTION: An end plate 16 has: protrusions 44 that come into contact with an axial end surface 17 of a rotor core 14 having flux barriers FB1 to FB4 formed therein when the end plate 16 is mounted on the rotor core 14; and depressions 46 that do not come into contact with the axial end surface 17. The protrusions 44 are formed so as to extend across magnetic flux paths 22 to 28 that are formed along the flux barriers FB1 to FB4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
