PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent performance deterioration of a recombination catalyst in a recombination device in a disposal process of gaseous radioactive waste exhausted from a nuclear reactor of a nuclear power plant.;SOLUTION: A gaseous radioactive waste disposal apparatus comprises a recombination device having a recombination catalyst to recombine hydrogen and oxygen in water vapor contained in gaseous radioactive waste exhausted from a nuclear reactor of a nuclear power plant. The gaseous radioactive waste disposal apparatus comprises an exhaust gas preheating device that heats the gaseous radioactive waste in the former stage of the recombination device and a temperature control device that controls the temperature of the exhaust gas preheating device such that the temperature of gas at an outlet or inlet of the recombination device is set to 250 to 500°C. Accordingly, the temperature of the recombination catalyst is kept at 250 to 500°C, which prevents deterioration of the recombination catalyst due to being poisoned by foreign matter.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
