PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of optical film laminate that is made of a PVA resin with alignment of dichroic material which is filmed on an amorphous ester-based thermoplastic resin substrate of continuous web and that includes a thin and high-functional polarizing film whose optical characteristic value represented as single transmittance T and polarization degree P is at a certain level.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method incudes: a step for generating a stretched laminate including a stretched intermediate product that comprises a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer with alignment, by applying aerial and high-temperature stretching to a laminate including an amorphous ester-based thermoplastic resin substrate and a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer filmed on the amorphous ester-based thermoplastic resin substrate; a step for generating a colored laminate including a colored intermediate product that comprises a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer with alignment of dichroic material, by attaching a dichroic material to the stretched laminate; and a step for generating an optical film laminate including a thin and high-functional polarizing film that is made of a polyvinyl alcohol resin with alignment of dichroic material, by stretching the colored laminate in a boric acid solution.
