PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TIP driving apparatus capable of stably measuring a cable driving torque by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The TIP driving apparatus 1 includes: a housing 2 having an inlet hole 3; a reel 4 which is arranged in the housing 2 and to which the other end of a detector cable 11 whose the one end is connected to a mobile type intra-furnace neutron flux detector 12 is connected to wind up and store the detector cable 11; a detector cable driving mechanism arranged in the housing 2 to wind up the detector cable 11 around the reel 4 through the inlet hole 3 and send off the detector cables 11 from the reel 4; a controller 9 for driving the detector cable driving mechanism by a predetermined rotational frequency; and an operation part for finding out cable driving torque by using power supply to be supplied to the detector cable driving mechanism when the controller 9 drives the detector cable driving mechanism by the predetermined rotational frequency, the predetermined rotational frequency and loss torque.
