DISCRIMINATION METHOD OF INSIDE OF STEEL PIPE OR THE LIKE, AND DISCRIMINATION APPARATUS THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discrimination method of the inside of a steel pipe or the like capable of accurately discriminating the filling state of the inside of a member of an existing steel tower or the like with filler such as concrete or the like by a simple method; and to provide a discrimination apparatus thereof.;SOLUTION: In the discrimination method of the inside of the steel pipe or the like for discriminating the inside in a member by analyzing an elastic wave generated by hammering to the member surface, the lengths of vibration transmission times measured at a hammering side of the member 1 of the steel pipe or the like and an opposite side thereof are compared to discriminate the presence/absence of an inside cavity 1b in the member 1. Work required is just vibrating by hammering outside the steel pipe member 1, and the lengths of the vibration transmission times measured by, for example, AE sensors 3 and 2 at the hammering side of the member 1 and the opposite side thereof are compared so as to simply and easily discriminate the presence/absence of the cavity inside the steel pipe or the like in a short time without necessity of a qualification of an X-ray irradiation or an insertion of an endoscope or the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
