PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a client to use functions of the same type provided from a plurality of servers, with one connection license.;SOLUTION: In a license management system, first an application server 200 which has received a connection request from a client 300 determines whether the request client 300 is a client to which a connection license has been assigned or not, and the application server 200 requests a license server 100 to determine assignment of a connection license in the case that a connection license is not assigned to the client 300. As a result, the license server 100 determines whether a connection license has been assigned to the request client 300 or not and sends the determination result as a response to the application server 200.
