ORAL NUTRIENT COMPOSITION FOR KIDNEY DISEASE PATIENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral nutrient composition for kidney disease patients which is expected to ameliorate and/or relieve constipation and/or taste abnormality concerned about causing on chronic kidney disease patients.SOLUTION: The oral nutrient composition for kidney disease patients contains oligosaccharides, and 1.6-3.0 g of dietary fiber and 1.0 mg or above of zinc each per 100 kcal energy, and preferably presents the following aspects (1) to (3): (1) the composition contains 1.0 g or above of the oligosaccharides per 100 kcal energy; (2) the composition contains, per 100 kcal energy, 0.5-0.7 g of protein, 50-70 mg of EPA, 20-30 mg of DHA, 3.3-10 mg of phosphorus, 6.7 mg or below of potassium, 13 mg or above of carnitine and 2.0 μg or above of biotin; and (3) the composition is used in the form of a fluid food.
