PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector for the root part of a tree having a simple structure and protecting bark around the trunk of the tree, particularly bark at the root part of the tree, from feeding damage by deer or the like.;SOLUTION: The protector for the root part of a tree includes an encircling member to be put around the circumference of the tree, and a plurality of drooping members drooping from the encircling member. The drooping members comprise flexible long and thin tape-like members so that the members oscillate by external force such as wind and are disposed so that the tip end sides of the members creep on the ground. The drooping members suitably cover the root part of the tree even when the tree stands on the slope of a mountain or the root part of the tree has a complicated irregular shape.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
