PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure decrease warning method for improving accuracy of pressure decrease determination by obtaining a turn correction factor on the basis of turn running data in a state that driving force is applied.;SOLUTION: In the tire air pressure decrease warning method, the number of revolutions for each tire mounted on four wheel vehicle is detected, it is determined whether the tire air pressure is decreased or not on the basis of the detected number of revolutions, and when it is determined that the tire air pressure is decreased, warning is issued. The method includes: a decreased pressure determination value calculation process for calculating a decreased pressure determination value for determining the decrease in the tire air pressure, at actual running time of the vehicle in a state that the tire is set to a predetermined air pressure; a correction factor calculation process for calculating a correction factor in which a result obtained by subtracting a correction factor function value composed of a lateral direction acceleration of the vehicle and a correction factor related to the lateral direction acceleration, from the calculated decreased pressure determination value, becomes approximately zero; and a storing process for storing the calculated correction factor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
