USER INTERFACE PROGRAM FOR CHANGING TIME SCALE IN ACCORDANCE WITH DENSITY OF TIME SERIES DATA, SYSTEM AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user interface in which an overall event incurred on a time base in time series data can be visually overlooked and the timing when a number of events are incurred is observed at a glance.SOLUTION: A computer is functioned as: event storage means which stores an event for which an activity item is made corresponding to a time and a time width; time scale display means which displays a time scale in which a time base is divided into predetermined time units; event object display means which displays an object of an event for each predetermined time unit with respect to the time base of the time scale; event count means which counts the number of events for each predetermined time unit; time scale determination means which determines a time scale width for each predetermined time unit in proportion to the number of events; and display control means which controls the time scale display means and the event object display means so as to change each time scale width. Then, time series data are displayed with a time scale width that is not uniform.
