PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable identification of recommended items in real time without requiring high capacity memory.;SOLUTION: A recommended item retrieval server 10 for identifying recommended items to be recommended to a user visiting a purchase site to purchase them based on purchase history information showing item purchase history of each user comprises a purchase history information database 10A in which the purchase history information is stored. The server identifies related users who are other users each having a purchase history of the visiting user related item showing an item which the visiting user purchased or will purchase by referring to the purchase history information, calculates an item set which is a set of items purchased by the identified related users by referring to the purchase history information, derives a correlation degree between the visiting user related item and each item belonging to the derived item set, and identifies a prescribed number of items each of whose correlation degree with the visiting user related item is high as recommended items according to the derived correlation degree.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
