PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shoot clear images of both butt ends of raw wood including outlines of the respective butt ends when shooting, by using cameras the right and left butt ends of the raw wood provided for manufacture of a veneer being a main material of plywood, veneer laminate material or the like.;SOLUTION: When shooting both butt ends of raw wood 2 by arranging a pair of right and left cameras 3, 3 at positions facing the right and left butt ends of the raw wood 2 supported by a pair of right and left raw wood support members 1, 1 in a preceding step of a turning step of turning the raw wood 2 by using a veneer lathe (not shown), flash lights 4, 4 emitting flashes by being adapted to shooting operation of each of the right and left cameras are arranged together on the respective cameras 3, 3, and the right and left butt ends of the raw wood 2 are shot in a stepwise fashion by setting appropriate minute time differences at shooting time of the respective cameras 3, 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
