PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vital sign measurement apparatus measuring a heart rate, a breathing rate or the like without imparting a restraint feeling to a person to be measured, and to provide a body motion detection apparatus detecting a body motion without imparting a restraint feeling to the person to be measured.SOLUTION: This vital sign measurement system 1 includes: a sensor terminal 10 (acceleration sensor 300) detecting a motion of a prescribed part of the person to be measured; and a measurement unit (microprocessor 400) performing measurement processing of a vital sign of at least one of the heart rate, the breathing rate, and a pulse rate of the person to be measured in a prescribed time based on information about a posture change of the sensor terminal 10 (acceleration sensor 300) obtained from an output signal of the sensor terminal 10 (acceleration sensor 300).
