ELEVATOR ALSO OPERATING AT THE TIME OF DISASTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator which can also operate at the time of disaster, can appropriately perform the rescue effort of evacuees and fire-fighting operation by enabling firefighters to safely move to a floor where a fire has broken out, and can safely transfer the rescued evacuees to a predetermined safe floor when the fire has broken out in a building.;SOLUTION: The elevator has riding space 5 which is secured on a ceiling of a car 1 to allow the firefighters and evacuees to ride, a ceiling port 8 through which the firefighters and the evacuees can enter and leave between the riding space 5 and inside of the car 1, and a control section which enables the firefighters riding inside the riding space 5 to manually open a hall door 42 of an elevator hall of the building. An operating device 16 on the car is provided in the riding space 5, and when the firefighters riding in the riding space 5 operates the operating device 16 on the car, the car 1 moves to and stops at the floor where the fire has broken out so that the ceiling of the car 1 stops at a position being at substantially the same level as a floor face of the elevator hall.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
