PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting a liquid level of an etching liquid as accurately as possible and enable precise control of depth.;SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of an optical fiber with processed tip, a tip 3a of an optic fiber 3 is processed by wet etching. In the manufacturing method, the tip 3a of the optical fiber 3 is moved towards a liquid face 2a of an etching liquid 2, and during the movement, a light detecting part 7 detects reflected light of an incident light emitted from the other end of the optical fiber 3 that reflected on the tip of the optical fiber.
