PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling weight type impact test apparatus and a falling weight type test method which make an impact load value of a collision head to be made to collide with a material test piece into an appropriate and fixed value.;SOLUTION: The falling weight type impact test apparatus is constituted so that impact absorption members 99 which first receive falling of a guide plate 5 are arranged at intervals on both sides of a support member 3 on a base 2, a load cell 7 and a shaft member 8 are connected and fixed on the collision head 6, and the shaft member 8 is inserted into a through hole 52 formed at the center of the guide plate 5 to be freely lifted within a predetermined range, when the guide plate 5 is simultaneously dropped from predetermined height at a state that the tip of the collision head 6 is approached to the guide plate 5, the impact absorption members 99 receive falling of the guide plate 5 and immediately after that, the collision head 6 collides with the material test piece 100.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
