PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new protein derived from Echinococcus multilocularis and capable of allowing prophylaxis and therapy of infection with the Echinococcus multilocularis for mammals including a human and a dog to be a final host and enabling early detection of the infection with the Echinococcus multilocularis for the mammals.;SOLUTION: The polypeptide is composed of a specific amino acid sequence derived from the Echinococcus multilocularis, or is composed of an amino acid sequence in which one or several amino acids are deleted, substituted or added in the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide and has action of causing a specific antibody against the Echinococcus multilocularis in the mammals.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
