ANTISEPTIC AND MILDEWPROOFING AGENT FOR FIBER OR LEATHER OR PRODUCT MADE FROM THE SAME AS RAW MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To newly provide an antiseptic and mildewproofing agent for fibers or leathers or products made from the same as a raw material, having a high antiseptic ability for molds, simultaneously having low toxicity to human bodies, and high stability as a composition, and producible at a low cost.;SOLUTION: It is found that the composition obtained by mixing 1 pt.wt. of a solution containing at least (A) an 8-22C fatty acid or a salt thereof; (B) a mono-, a di- or a trifatty acid glycerol ester; (C) a sulfosuccinic acid ester; (D) one or two or more alcohols selected from among ethanol, propanol or isopropanol: and (E) water with an aqueous base in a ratio of 1-500 pts.wt. has the excellent antiseptic ability for the molds.
