PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new pancreatic islet cell protective agent which inhibits disorders in the taking of the pancreatic islet and the transplantation of the pancreatic islet upon the transplantation of the pancreatic islet in the treatment of diabetes, and can improve the taking of the pancreatic islet, and a method for inhibiting the disorders of pancreatic islet cells after the transplantation of the pancreatic islet including a process of adding the pancreatic islet cell protective agent to the pancreas of a donor or the pancreatic islet taken from the donor and transplanting the pancreatic islet after the addition to a diabetic patient.;SOLUTION: The pancreatic islet cell protective agent upon pancreatic islet transplantation comprises a compound exhibiting NCX inhibitory activity or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
