PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing the tread of a passenger conveyer, allowing the repair of a cutout section without a template and the enhancement of strength of the repaired tread in a horizontal direction while not so increasing the adhesion strength of an adhesive to be used.;SOLUTION: The method for repairing the tread of the passenger conveyer is for repairing the cutout portion 8 caused in the tread 3 of the passenger conveyer which includes a plurality of steps 1 endlessly connected and circularly moving, and the tread 3 having irregularities on the surface of each step 1. The method includes: preparing a repair piece 4 having legs 4a on the under surface for repairing the cut part 8; forming a processing part 10 by cutting the cutout section 8 in accordance with the shape of the repair piece 4; subsequently providing holes 6a on the undersurface 10a of the processing part 10 for the insertion of the legs 4a of the repair piece 4; then applying the adhesive 5 to at least one of the repair piece 4 and a processed surface of the processing part 10; and fixing the repair piece 4 to the processing part 10 with the legs 4a of the repair piece 4 inserted in the holes 6a.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
