PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor and a table feed apparatus with the motor, capable of reducing generation of cogging torque as much as possible without generating a pitch deviation of an armature core, improving cooling performance without increasing generation loss of the motor, and preventing an increase of a motor armature configuration.;SOLUTION: The linear motor includes a field pole 1 with a plurality of permanent magnets 1b arranged on the field magnetic yoke 1a and an armature 2 arranged between the field poles 1. In the armature 2, a plurality of core blocks 3 each housing an armature winding 4 are arranged in a straight line direction. A plurality of first core attachment plates 5a divided into the same number as the core blocks are provided at both upper and lower edges in a laminated direction of the core blocks 3 so that a plurality of core blocks may be individually fixed on one side, and the second core attachment plates 5b with the length equal to the total length of connected core blocks are provided to integrally fix all the core blocks on the other side, thus fixing them with a bolt screw 30.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
