PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of predicting running heat generation and a method of predicting a running resistance force for a belt body, which is advantageous for readily and accurately predicting heat generated energy or the running resistance force of the belt body.;SOLUTION: This method calculates the heat generated energy, based on an area of a hysteresis loop of stress σ and strain ε and predicts the heat generation energy, by coping with a portion of the belt body 10 positioned within a range of a prescribed length L, along the running direction within a range which does not contact rotation rollers 4', 4'' which are arranged in both sides of one rotation roller 4, around a contact position PO where the rotation roller 4 contacts with the belt body 10 in the running direction as the center, as a unit belt body 12. The prescribed length L has a dimension sufficiently large, to express features indicated by the primary components of the stress σ and the strain ε, when the stress σ and the strain ε in the unit belt body 12 are taken into consideration as an object.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
