PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for determining the quality of Doppler velocity information obtained from a GPS receiver and for outputting velocity in real time with high accuracy and high reliability.;SOLUTION: The device 10 for measuring the velocity of a moving body with high accuracy calculates the velocity of a moving body from the acceleration and angular velocity of the moving body by using strap down calculation, measures Doppler velocity of the moving body from the Doppler shift amount of a GPS carrier wave, and calculates a quality coefficient from the Doppler velocity. Then, the device 10 synchronizes delayed Doppler velocity with fed back real-time interpolation velocity, calculates the error amount between the synchronized Doppler velocity and the real-time interpolation velocity, multiplies the calculated error amount by the quality coefficient, and from the error amount multiplied by the quality coefficient, estimates and calculates the adjustment amount to the real-time interpolation velocity by a Kalman filter. The velocity calculated by using the strap down calculation is merged with the adjustment amount estimated and calculated by the Kalman filter, and the real-time interpolation velocity is calculated and output.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
