PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partial discharge discrimination method and partial discharge measuring instrument in which it can be determined whether internal discharge occurs or not inside power equipment during a partial discharge test.;SOLUTION: A partial discharge discrimination method comprises the steps of: applying a voltage to power equipment 24 by means of a partial discharge test power source 14; detecting a current value by means of a partial discharge measuring instrument 4 installed in a detection impedance 3; detecting a current value by means of a CT 7 installed on a ground line of a shield 6; and comparing the current value detected by the partial discharge measuring instrument 4 with the current value detected by the CT 7 and determining that internal discharge occurs, in the case where an electric pulse is detected in the partial discharge measuring instrument 4 but any electric pulse is detected in the CT 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
