PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclic olefin-based resin sheet or film which does not cause problems such as the generation of cracks in the resin, can be produced in easy thickness controllability and in good productivity, and has excellent transparency, excellent moisture resistance and excellent toughness, and to provide a method for producing the same. ;SOLUTION: This cyclic olefin-based resin sheet or a film is obtained by calendering at least one resin selected from the group consisting of an α- olefin.cyclic olefin random copolymer [A-1] obtained from a 2 to 20C α-olefin and a cyclic olefin having a specific structure, the ring-opened polymer or copolymer [A-2] of the cyclic olefin, the hydrogenation product [A-3] of [A-2], and the graft-modified product [A-4] of [A-1], [A-2] or [A-3]. The method for producing the cyclic olefin-based resin sheet or film comprises melting the cyclic olefin-based resin, feeding the melted resin to rolls having a higher temperature by 30 to 200°C than the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the cyclic olefin-based resin, and then calendering the fed melted resin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
