PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more improve accuracy of traffic signal control using traffic indexes such as the number of queue vehicles, a saturated traffic flow rate and the like by enabling these traffic indexes to be accurately calculated.;SOLUTION: In a traffic signal control system where a traffic signal control apparatus 4 which performs traffic signal control using the number of queue vehicles in a crossing C as one of traffic indexes and an in-vehicle unit 2 loaded in a vehicle 5 are cooperated, position information S3 of the vehicle 5 and speed information S4 are acquired in real time, a point of time at which the acquired speed information S4 is zero substantially is regarded as a time point t0 of stop when the vehicle 5 stops, the position information S3 of the vehicle 5 at that time point t0 of stop is judged as a stop position x0 where the relevant vehicle 5 stops, a number E1 of queue vehicles at the time point t0 of stop is calculated on the basis of the judged position x0 of stop, and traffic signal control is performed using the calculated number E1 of queue vehicles.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
