PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To chuck a workpiece without damaging its already machined portion.;SOLUTION: A mechanism for chucking a workpiece comprises a cam plate 2 and a guide body 3 arranged so as to be coaxial with the cam plate 2. Four fixtures are arranged in the guide body 3. The fixtures have pawl portions 6 directing outward from the center of the guide body 3. A chuck waiting state is configured by moving the pawl portions 6 toward the center of the guide body 3 against the energizing force of a spring member S by turning the cam plate 2 by means of a lever. When the workpiece W is chucked by the pawl portions 6, the tapered surfaces on the inside of the lower surfaces of the tip ends of the pawl portions 6 are brought into contact with the chamfered portion on the periphery of the circular central opening of the workpiece W.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
