PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an infrared absorptive composition excellent in dispersibility and dispersion stability of an infrared absorptive dye and excellent in light resistance; an infrared absorptive ink excellent in printability and enabling stable readout of image information for a long period of time; a recorded matter; a method for recording an image; and a method for detecting an image.;SOLUTION: The composition includes: (A) at least one infrared absorptive dye represented by following formula (1); and (B) at least one ion of a metal belonging to group 1 or 2 of the periodic table, wherein the content of the metal ion (B) is 30 ppm or more and 10,000 ppm or less (in formula (1), Ar1, Ar2, Ar3, Ar4, Ar5, Ar6, Ar7, and Ar8 each independently represents an aryl group).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
