PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand knitting method allowing even a beginner to easily perform knitting by knit and purl stitches with reduced labor and time.;SOLUTION: In the knit stitch, after the tip of a right-hand needle X is inserted into the other side of a left-hand needle so as to cross the left-hand needle at a position between a near side yarn D5a and a far side yarn D5b of a loop D5 at the rightmost end of the left-hand needle, a knitting yarn is hooked around the tip of the right-hand needle X, which crosses the left-hand needle in the loop, from the far side to the near side through under the needle, and the yarn hooked on the right-hand needle X is scooped into the loop D5. Here, the needle X is inserted into the loop D5 on the needle without twisting the loop D5, and the yarn is hooked on the needle X without being twisted, so that an untwisted loop E5 is formed.
