PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthen cooking pot capable of automatically controlling the temperature in the pot and being used for rice cooking.;SOLUTION: This cooking pot 1 is provided with a ceramic pot body 2 having an opening part 2b in the upper part and a through-hole 2c at the central part of the bottom part 2a, a temperature transmission body 3 fitted in the through-hole 2c to expose an inner surface 3a inward the pot body 2 and an outer surface 3b outward the pot body 2 respectively and having a thermal conductivity larger than that of the pot body 2, and a pot lid 4 opening/closing the opening part 2b of the pot body 2.
