PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate selection of a departure station or a destination station usable in route search by allowing a user to understand at a glance which section of any route is currently operated even early in the morning or late at night.;SOLUTION: A route map distribution request is transmitted from a terminal device 10 to a route map information distribution server 20, and a route map distributed from the route map information distribution server 20 is displayed on the terminal device 10. In such a route map display system, the route map information distribution server 20 generates a road surface data indicating in real time a route part currently operated in an animation manner by a route drawing unit 25 on the basis of data of a search network database 26 and a timetable database 27.
