PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring OTF of a lens at some spatial positions, spatial frequencies, orientations, and defocus positions, a lens testing system using one chart, and to provide a method of generating the test chart.;SOLUTION: The test chart for measuring an OTF, having a number of overlayed sinusoidal patterns at a number of discrete spatial frequencies and at a number of orientations is printed (330). The OTF is measured by imaging the test chart printed with a camera through the lens and forming an imaged test pattern (340). At least one characteristic of the captured test pattern is then compared with the corresponding characteristic of the test pattern of the test chart, to determine the OTF of this lens.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
