PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed computer system which can reduce the burden on a worker by automating the setup of configuration information of a computer having a function which is different for each installation place, and can efficiently perform maintenance and management.;SOLUTION: A terminal (PC#1-PC#24) connected with a management apparatus 30 via a communication line (LAN cable 40a, 40b) includes a configuration information setup preprocessing means for setting a virtual IP address based on an apparatus address inherent to an apparatus when power is turned on and transmitting a configuration information setup request to the management apparatus 30, and a configuration information setup processing means for specifying the installation place of an apparatus according to a signal designating a chance for acquiring a terminal installation place which is transmitted from the management apparatus 30 based on the configuration information setup request and setting up an actual address reflecting a specified installation place.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
