PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to have substitutive speech communication by substitutively answering an incoming call to a mobile phone, placed on a desk etc., where the owner is absent, without operating the mobile phone. PSOLUTION: The owner of the mobile phone previously registers substitutive answering permission conditions including a telephone number of a substitutively answering terminal. When the owner of the mobile phone is absent, a person who notices an incoming call to the mobile phone left alone calls the mobile phone of the absentee which is ringing by using his or her mobile phone or a fixed telephone set having been registered as the substitutive answering terminal, thereby performing substitutive speech communication. The substitutive answering is performed by suitably judging the position of the mobile phone of the absentee, the position of the substitutive answering terminal, and the time of the substitutive answering.
