PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a parameter of demagnetization to be set automatically at work release, when the work is moved by utilizing electromagnet.;SOLUTION: The demagnetization control method for electromagnet is used for an apparatus which supplies current to the electromagnet to chuck the work and cuts off the current to release the work. In the demagnetization control method for electromagnet, a magnetic sensor measures the residual magnetization, its output is sent to an interface, and demagnetization operation is performed repeatedly until the residual magnetization reaches a predetermined permissible residual magnetization. By having the interface store the output, the magnetic force parameter is set automatically, and then the demagnetization operation is performed, on the basis of the magnetic force parameter.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
