PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell sealing device for a honeycomb molded object capable of certainly filling desired cells with sealing material paste regardless of the shape of the cells of the honeycomb molded object.;SOLUTION: The cell sealing device for the honeycomb molded object is equipped with a paste filling device which has a paste filling part having a cell sealing mask having a large number of openings formed thereto at predetermined positions and a paste supply part, an imaging device for photographing the end face of the honeycomb molded object and an image analyzer. The positions of the cells are analyzed from the image of the end face photographed by the imaging device by the image analyzer to bring the cell sealing mask into contact with the end face of the honeycomb molded object so that the positional error of the opening of the cell sealing mask with the cells of the honeycomb molded object becomes minimum and the sealing material paste supplied to the paste filling device from the paste supply device is injected in the end parts of the cells through the cell sealing mask to fill the cells.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
