PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authenticity judging means which easily judges forgery, falsification or the like and, in addition, disables easy forgery. PSOLUTION: The authenticity judging medium has: an optical selectively reflecting layer having selectively reflecting properties for reflecting either a left-handed circularly polarized light or a right-handed circularly polarized light in incident light; a patterned layer, which reverses the rotational direction of the incident light; a holographed layer, and a reflecting layer in this order. The optical selectively reflecting layer, the patterned layer, the holographed layer and the reflecting layer are permeable to visible light and, at the same time, the reflecting layer has a refractive index, which is different from that of the holographed layer, to the visible light.
