PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that the conventional Shochu lees treatment apparatus where Shochu lees are agitated together with sawdust and the agitated material is fed into a dryer to be dried, generates offensive odor before agitation at the beginning, shows a poor workability, and keeps a harmful influence exerted on the surroundings. PSOLUTION: In a treatment method and apparatus for high moisture content waste such as Shochu lees and animal and plant broth, the Shochu lees and a deodorant liquid are mixed and agitated by an agitator, the mixture is separated into a solid and a liquid by a solid-liquid separator after the agitation, turbid liquid in the separated liquid is adsorbed by an adsorbent such as activated carbon, and the liquid adsorbed by the adsorbent is dried by a dryer.
