PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide far-infrared radiation ceramics not using a rare metal.SOLUTION: The far-infrared radiation ceramics are formed by mixing and firing following components in terms of weight ratio: 45.82 wt.% alumina (AlO), 15.2 wt.% silica (SiO), 3.8 wt.% titania (TiO), 1.2 wt.% ferric oxide (FeO), 0.02 wt.% magnesium oxide (MgO), 0.2 wt.% calcium oxide (CaO), 0.23 wt.% sodium oxide (NaO), 2.35 wt.% phosphorus pentoxide (PO), 20.5 wt.% zirconia (ZrO), 3.45 wt.% lanthanum oxide (LaO), and 7.23 wt.% water.
