PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated magnesium hydroxide which has excellent flame retardancy and acid resistance and can ensure an eluted impurity concentration required for a use as an electronic part material, and to provide a stable method for producing the same.;SOLUTION: This coated magnesium hydroxide having a coating layer formed from a water-insoluble silicon compound on the surface.
