PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactive silicon group-containing polymer composition having excellent preservation stability and facilitating handling. PSOLUTION: The method for preparing the reactive silicon group-containing polymer composition includes a step for subjecting (a1) a polyoxypropylene polyol having 500-50,000 number average molecular weight and (a2) an isocyanate group-containing compound (especially γ-isocyanatopropylalkoxysilane) to urethanization reaction in the presence of a tin-based catalyst to afford a polymer having a main chain substantially consisting of polyoxypropylene, and a step for adding (b) 0.001-10 pts.wt. mercaptosilane to 100 pts.wt. obtained polymer. The room temperature-curable silicon group-containing polymer composition is obtained by compounding (b) 0.01-10 pts.wt. curing catalyst and (c1) 0.05-25 pts.wt. amino group-substituted alkoxysilane with (A) 100 pts.wt. reactive silicon group-containing polymer composition obtained thus.
