PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile adjustment system, more particularly a system to control and regulate the adjustment operation of an automobile window lifter.;SOLUTION: The controls have at least one computer unit to control an adjustment system driving unit. The computer unit is set up so that it may stop or begin the process of stopping the adjustment operation of the driving unit when signals F, F(x), F(t) exceed the actual response threshold values S(x), S1, S2. This actual response threshold values should preferably be made compatible during the adjustment operation. The actual response threshold values are changed according to the time or positional changes (dF/dt, dF/dx) of the signals.
