PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for production of new ferrocoke with both improved handling strength after molding and product strength after dry distillation.;SOLUTION: In the ferrocoke production by mass molding a raw material containing coal, an iron source raw material, binders with a softening point of 150°C or over and that of less than 150°C followed by stirring at a temperature range of 120-240°C, molding the resultant mixed raw material and then by dry distillation of the resultant molded mass.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
