PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating device for an air-cooled general-purpose engine excelling in oil cooling property and attaining superior lubrication of a valve gear, not to mention the periphery of a crankshaft.;SOLUTION: The air-cooled general-purpose engine is provided with a cooling fan 11 fixed to one end part, projected outward from one end wall 1f of an engine body 1, of the crankshaft 7. The engine body 1 is mounted with a shroud 12 partitioning a cooling air passage 13 for guiding cooling air force-fed from the cooling fan 11, between the shroud 12 and the one end wall 1f. The engine is also provided with an oil pump 43 pumping up oil from an oil reservoir 41, and a supply oil passage 51 formed in one end wall 1f of the engine body 1 facing the cooling air passage 13, to guide discharge oil from the oil pump 43 to a valve chamber 40 at the head of the engine body 1. An opening of the supply oil passage 51 to the valve chamber 40 is provided with a jet 52 for jetting oil.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
