PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an IPv6 address on a terminal device that does not have a MAC address.;SOLUTION: A terminal device comprises: terminal information storage means for storing terminal identification information and additional information; interface ID generation means for reading the terminal identification information and the additional information from the terminal information storage means to generate an interface ID that includes the terminal identification information and the additional information; means for transmitting a prefix assignment request message that includes the interface ID to a prefix distribution device; means for receiving a prefix assignment response message that includes a prefix from the prefix distribution device to obtain the prefix from the prefix assignment response message; and means for generating an IPv6 address from the prefix and the interface ID generated by the interface ID generation means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
