PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method of a target substance enhanced in sensitivity, having a wide measuring range and excellent in storage stability; to provide mixed particles usable in the detection method; and to provide a detection reagent of the target substance using the mixed particles.;SOLUTION: The detection method of the target substance includes the process of bringing a specimen into contact with a mixed particle dispersion containing colored particles or uncolored particles and the process of optically detecting the flocculation of the mixed particles produced in the contact process.
