PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CO2 emission amount calculation system for automatically calculating a CO2 emission amount generated by disposal of a printed matter which turns out unnecessary by performing printing of an update version, and to provide an image forming apparatus.;SOLUTION: When the image forming apparatus receives an indication for executing a copy job and a printing job (S101), the image forming apparatus stores printing history and image data of the job (S102), and executes the printing based on the image data (S103). In addition, the apparatus determines whether or not the image data of the job is the update version of the image data of the job whose printing has been executed in the past in this image forming apparatus (S105), and when it is determined to be the update version (S105;Yes), the CO2 emission amount generated by the disposal of the printed matter for renewal is calculated based on the number of sheets of printing in the past job or the like (S106), and a result of the calculation is displayed (S107).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
