PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for a solid waste capable of insolubilizing boron in the solid waste such as burned ash and contaminated soil containing boron and easily and effectively preventing elution of boron, and a treatment chemical. PSOLUTION: The treatment method for the solid waste employs the addition/mixture of a phosphoric acid compound and a calcium compound with the solid substance containing boron to insolubilize the boron. The treatment method for the solid waste employs the addition/mixture of a phosphoric acid compound and a calcium compound with the solid substance containing boron and fluorine to insolubilize the boron and the fluorine.
